Femen in Istanbul “relocated” Erdoğan to Kabul

On July 5, at Istanbul International Airport, a FEMEN activist staged another protest.

She disembarked topless from the plane, holding a symbolic ticket reading: “Erdoğan: Istanbul-Kabul” as she walked towards the arrivals terminal.

Through this act, FEMEN urged the Turkish people to overthrow Erdoğan’s regime, comparing it to the Islamist governments of countries like Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. FEMEN called on the Turkish people to resist Erdoğan’s repressions and remain faithful to the ideals of the humanistic revolution that began in Taksim Square.

The activist was arrested by the police.
