On August 24, 2011, FEMEN activists staged a protest outside the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in Kyiv, attempting to mow a flower bed shaped like a trident. Dressed in trousers, they marked the “Day of Dependence,” criticizing government policies. The protest aimed to highlight issues of dependence and the lack of true independence in Ukraine.
